About me

I believe we each carry wisdom about how to be well within us.

But in the business of life, particularly when our health changes and demands increase, we rarely have the time or space to trust it. I work with people who feel stuck or uncertain in recovery, often after illness, and injury and want realistic, supportive help to move forward.

So often I have seen that when people lose their health, they lose pieces of themselves too.

They lose their confidence, identity, trust and connection and this impacts everything that matters to them. This is the work of The Healing Curiosity Project: supporting you to rebuild trust in your own instincts and create space for recovery and meaningful change. When we put our “inner house” in order, we can meet the world with more clarity, more capacity and more choice. Before I became a health coach, I spent years working as an NHS clinician – supporting others while quietly ignoring my own needs. Like many people in caring roles, I missed the early signs of depletion until life gave me no choice but to stop and listen.

As it is said, your body whispers before it shouts

Why I do this work?

When I was unwell, I realised how lucky I was to have the skills to navigate the healthcare system, to question, explore and make sense of the evidence in front of me. Even then, it felt overwhelming and it made me wonder how many others were moving through their own uncertainty without the same support, clarity or confidence.

That experience changed the way I see this work.

Today I offer others the partnership I once needed myself – to help you feel less alone in the messiness of symptoms, fear, frustration and exhaustion. My intention is simple: when you arrive here, you feel seen, understood and supported exactly as you are. Not as you think you should be, and not as the world may have pressured you to be.

I walk alongside you with curiosity and an unshakeable belief in your inner wisdom. Even when your body feels unfamiliar, your capacity for new insights, healing and self-trust is still there, waiting to be found.

What matters to me in this work

Always working from a place of curiosity, there are three core values that guide everything I do:

Safety

I will not push, rush, override or judge you.

Compassion

I meet you with kindness, patience, and respect for your experience.

Collaboration

You are the expert of your body and your life and we will work together, as a team to explore what support is genuinely helpful for you.

My approach to health and healing

In a world that often asks us to minimise or disconnect from out physical and emotional needs, choosing to care for your body can feel like a quiet act of rebellion. Reclaiming your agency is a brave step and one I want to cheer you on in!

My own recovery journey reminded me that healing is rarely simple or linear. It doesn’t usually arrive as a dramatic comeback, but slowly, through small moments, honesty and compassion. For me, it began when I learned to slow down enough to pay attention to what my body was trying to tell me.

When you begin to take ownership of your body, not through force, but through curiosity, you step back into a more caring relationship with yourself. From there, real change becomes possible: slow, steady and sustainable, grounded in your own lived experience and supported by science.

This is the heart of The Curiosity Project – creating the conditions for a steadier body and mind, where curiosity can guide you towards solutions that fit your own needs and help you adapt to illness and injury.

My training and professional grounding

I am always learning and bring together evidence, experience and perspectives from several sources, including:
Certification as a Functional Medicine Health Coach (FMCA)
A clinical background working within and outside of the NHS
Ongoing professional development in trauma-aware and nervous system informed practice (Including May 2026 cohort London School of Reflexology)
A strong commitment to ethical, reflective and client-led work.
I am also a member of the UKIHCA and work within clear professional boundaries. Coaching is not medical care but it can be a powerful complement to it.

Emma supported me to gently rebuild my confidence

I came to work with Emma in the months after having my baby, at a time when I felt unsure of myself and unclear about what I wanted life to look like going forward. Over our sessions, Emma supported me to gently rebuild my confidence, clarify my priorities and develop a clearer vision for the life and health I want.
